Costume Contest

Make sure you grab your crazy, creative, scary, spooky costumes for the Costume Contest to be eligible for awesome prizes including CASH!  Grab your friends or take it solo.

Schedule

Costume Contest Schedule – October 27, 2018
Judging will take place:
6:30a-7:30a at the Virginia Beach Convention Center in packet pick-up
8:45a – 10:45a at the Virginia Beach Convention Center in the post-race party area

We will announce winners during our results ceremony at 11:00.

2018 Awards

Single Costume – costumes of only one person – top 3

• $100 Cash, 2018 Wicked 10k Entry and 2 Free Passes to The Adventure Park
• $50 Cash and 2 Free Passes to The Adventure Park
• $25 Cash and 2 Free Passes to The Adventure Park

Pair Costume – costumes with two people participating – top 3

• $150 Cash, 2 2018 Wicked Entries and 2 Free Passes to The Adventure Park
• $75 Cash and 2 Free Passes to The Adventure Park
• $50 Cash and 2 Free Passes to The Adventure Park

Group Costume – 3 or more form a group – top 3

• $200 Cash, 5 2018 Wicked Entries, 5 Wicked Pint Glasses/Fetis
• $100 Cash, 5 Wicked Pint Glasses/Fetis
• $50 Cash, 5 Wicked Pint Glasses/Fetis

Kid’s Costume – Group/Pair/Individual, all under 12 and participating in race – top 3

• $100 cash, $30 Moe’s GC and 2 Free Passes to The Adventure Park
• $50 cash, $30 Moe’s GC and 2 Free Passes to The Adventure Park
• $25 cash, $30 Moe’s GC and 2 Free Passes to The Adventure Park

Rules

Judges will be looking for originality, authenticity, overall theme, and craftsmanship.  Being “in character” is always a plus!

• You must run/walk in your costume the entire race to be eligible for prizes
• Groups and pairs must come to the judging table together to be judged
• If you are a group or a pair, you must pick a team captain and a team name.  We will use this name and the team captain’s race number for judging
• You must have a race number visible to be eligible for the contest and keep your race number on for winner announcements
• You must have been a registered participant and run the race to be eligible for the costume contest
