Favorite Wicked memory: “The 2021 race! Returning in person made me appreciate the thousands of runners back in costume, celebrating together so much. It was also the first time I completed the entire race without taking a walking break! After crossing the finish line, my husband, our friends, and I spent the morning on the beach, soaking up the sunshine in our costumes while we drank beer and watched for dolphins. That morning captured everything I love about the event: fun, community, personal growth, and people coming together. (Wicked Day is the best day of the year!)”

Favorite part of race weekend:ย โOh gosh, itโs hard to pick a favorite. I love that itโs a fast, flat course. Getting the boardwalk feeling the breeze off the ocean.”
Favorite Wicked memory: “2024 Wicked 10K, it was my first time doing this race. I dressed as Batgirl. I found a batgirl cape made for an office chair that I put on the back of my race wheelchair. The cape flapping around as I went through course. Was so much fun!”
Favorite local Virginia Beach food spot: “Hands down, Burgers from Barrel 17. And the sweet potato fries with signature sweet sauce.”
