What are the prize divisions?

We will be judging for the top three in the following divisions:

  • FRIDAY:

    Monster Mile Costume Contestย (Single, Pair, Group, Stroller Group and Kids welcome to enter. Anyone included in costume must be participating in Monster Mile Race)
    *Cannot enter the same costume in both Friday Night and Saturday contests*

    SATURDAY:

    Single Costumeย (Costume of only one person and participating in race)
    Pair Costumeย (Costumes with two people, both participating in race)
    Group Costumeย (3 or more form a group, all participating in race)
    Stroller Group Costumeย (Two or more registered participants. Stroller must be part of costume)
    Kidโ€™s Costumeย (Single, Pair, Group welcome to enter. Anyone included in costume must be under 12 and participating in race)
    Peopleโ€™s Choiceย (Voted on via Social Media post race weekend, open to all race registrants of any distance)

Will there be an awards ceremony? What are the award categories?

There will not be an awards ceremony for the race. Awards will be mailed to all recipients after the event. Click here for a complete listing of the overall and age group awards. Awards for the Costume Contest will be given out at 6:30pm on Friday and 10:15am on Saturday.

 

 

Do I need my ID for the post-race party?

You will need a wrist bracelet provided by the Wicked 10K in order to drink beer at the post-race party. You can get this bracelet by showing us your ID at the expo (special ID Check booth) or at the post-race party. All runners 21 and over receive a limited number of beers with their entries. Additional beer for participants or spectators can be purchased at the party.

What time should I arrive on race day?

We encourage you to arrive early so you have plenty of time to park and get to the start line.

Is there a dry bag check?

Friday Night | Monster Mile
There is no dry bag check for the Monster Mile on Friday night.

Saturday | Wicked 10K & 5K
Yes, there will be dry bag check located at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. Bags must be picked up immediately following your race at the end of the finish line chute on the boardwalk. Each runner will receive a clear plastic bag at packet pick-up that MUST be used for your gear check bag. We WILL NOT accept any other bags due to security reasons.ย J&A Racing is not responsible for any lost items, so please do not leave valuables in your dry bag.

Where can we park for the races?

The Wicked 10K & 5K starts at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on 19th Street and ends on the Boardwalk near 20th Street.ย  There will be limited parking at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. We encourage you to arrive early since parking can fill up quickly.

Will there be hydration on the course?

Where can I pick up my race packet?

Can someone else pick up my packet for me?

Send them your check in pass along with a copy of your ID for a seamless pickup.
