Open 10K and 5K – Top 3 Men & Women
The Open category will be scored using GUN time. If you are planning to be in contention for one of these top awards, you must start at the front of corral 1.
Masters 10K and 5K – Top 3 Men & Women ages 40 and over
The Masters category will also be scored using GUN time. If you are planning to be in contention for one of these top awards, you must start at the front of corral 1.
Age Groups 10K and 5K – Top 3 Men & Women in each age group
The Age Group awards will be scored using CHIP time. This allows each runner to be scored against all other runners in their age group regardless of where they start in the corrals.
10K: 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & Over
5K: 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & Over
We will not have an Awards Ceremony for the 10K and 5K runners on race day as we must first verify the results. All awards will be mailed out after the race.
Monster Mile Awards
Monster Mile Elite Wave – Top 3 Men & Women
The Open category will be scored using GUN time. If you are planning to be in contention for one of these top awards, you must compete in the elite wave.
Monster Mile Masters – Top Man & Woman ages 40 and over
The Masters category will also be scored using GUN time. If you are planning to be in contention for this top award, you must compete in the elite wave.
Monster Mile Age Group Awards – Top Man & Woman in each age group
The Age Group awards will be scored using CHIP time. This allows each runner to be scored against all other runners in their age group regardless of where they start in the corrals.
Mile: 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & Over
Award Disclaimer
Note! The top 3 Men and Women finishers will be pulled from their respective Age Groups and automatically placed in the Open Category. The next 3 Men and Women finishers over 40 will be pulled from their respective Age Groups and automatically placed in the Masters category. J&A Racing does not permit “double dipping” of awards and therefore the Open and Masters finishers will not receive an Age Group award.
